Metabolic syndrome (MS) is one of the possible risk factors for coronary heart disease (CHD) [2,7]. Meanwhile, cardiovascular disease, and first and foremost, CHD, is one of the leading causes of death in developed countries of the world [1,8]. The prognosis for patients with coronary heart disease depends, predominantly, on the progression of coronary atherosclerosis (CA). Clinical significance of MS is determined by its important prognostic value in the development of cardiovascular diseases (CVD), and in particular, CHD, due to disturbance of the function of endothelial and smooth muscle cells of the vessels, local intravascular inflammation, increased platelets function and thrombosis [4,8]. The achievement of recent years is the concept as to the important role of chronic systemic inflammation (CSI) and insulin resistance (IR) in the pathogenesis of CA and CHD, which is especially relevant for MS patients [3, 8, 9]

Materials and methods. An open clinical trial was conducted. 230 patients with CHD were examined: stable angina pectoris, II FC, CH 0-I (119 men and 111 women aged 57 + 8.3 years) and 30 healthy subjects (control group). The criteria for inclusion in the study were the age of men and women (40-75 years), the presence of CHD: exertional angina of II FC in the absence of destabilization of the course for at least two months, the informed consent of the patient to participate in the study. The exclusion criteria were the presence of chronic heart failure higher than stage I, high blood pressure, complications of cardiac rhythm and conduction disorders, rheumatism, cancer, anemia, diabetes mellitus, renal and hepatic insufficiency. To achieve the aim of the research, patients’ blood was tested for levels of IL-1β and TNFα by the immune enzyme method; fibrinogen (FG) plasma levels – by weight method and echocardiography (echo) [7]. The global contractile ability of LV was estimated by the stroke volume (SV), the ejection fraction (EF), and the velocity of the blood flow (v) in the external path (EP) of the LV. The diastolic function of LV was investigated by recording the transmitral blood flow rates by the ratio of the velocities of the early (E) and late (L) diastolic filling of the LV (E / A), the delay time of early diastolic filling of the LV (DT) and the time of isovolumic LV relaxation (IVRT) [7]

Using pp collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 8.5 fb-1 recorded by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of s=7, 8, and 13 TeV, the observation of an excited Bc+ state in the Bc+π+π- invariant-mass spectrum is reported. The observed peak has a mass of 6841.2±0.6(stat)±0.1(syst)±0.8(Bc+) MeV/c2, where the last uncertainty is due to the limited knowledge of the Bc+ mass. It is consistent with expectations of the Bc∗(2S31)+ state reconstructed without the low-energy photon from the Bc∗(1S31)+→Bc+γ decay following Bc∗(2S31)+→Bc∗(1S31)+π+π-. A second state is seen with a global (local) statistical significance of 2.2σ (3.2σ) and a mass of 6872.1±1.3(stat)±0.1(syst)±0.8(Bc+) MeV/c2, and is consistent with the Bc(2S10)+ state. These mass measurements are the most precise to date

Abstract: Objective: The aim of the research was to determine the dependence of the blood flow velocity in the thyroid arteries in patients with autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT) on the presence of atherosclerotic carotid disease and the level of systemic blood pressure. Method: The research involved 20 patients with AIT in euthyroid state, 30 patients AIT in euthyroid state with stable coronary heart disease (CHD), 30 patients with stable CHD and 30 healthy individuals. Participants of the research were examined using ultrasound of carotid arteries and inferior thyroid arteries. Parameters of blood flow velocity were compared with the level of systemic blood pressure. Results: In AIT peak systolic velocity and resistance index in the inferior thyroid arteries were sig- nificantly higher than in healthy individuals and patients with CHD (p<0.05). In patients with CHD velocity parameters in carotid arteries were high, unlike in the healthy individuals and patients with AIT (p<0.05). In patients with AIT without CHD the atherosclerotic changes of carotid arteries were not found. Increased systemic blood pressure was noticed in all patients with CHD without significant differences between groups

The peculiarities of cardiohemodynamics, microcirculation, and microvasculature are presented in the article; their correlation with significance of the oxidative stress, the level of antioxidative blood potential and endothelial function in the isolated course of essential hypertension and in conditions of its comorbidity with duodenal peptic ulcer was carried out. The structural-functional indices and parameters of cardiohemodynamics, indices of microcirculation and microvasculature, the content of the intermediate and the final products of lipid peroxidation in the blood, activity of enzymes of the antioxidant protection system and indices of endothelial function were estimated. It was established that the presence of the remodeling left ventricle (a significant increase of the left heart chambers, symmetrical myocardial hypertrophy) with the unchanged contractile function, and maximal intensity of both resistivity of the peripheral vascular system (р <0.001), and disorders of microcirculation and microvasculature on the perivascular, vascular, and intravascular levels (р <0.001) is typical of the patients with the comorbid course of essential hypertension. The next results showed that manifestations of oxidative stress were the most significant (the increase of diene conjugates and malondialdehyde content (p <0.001) among the patients with the combinative pathology. The index of the antioxidative ability of blood serum was low in these patients (p <0.001); besides, it had the negative correlation relationship with the index of the total changes of microhemocirculation and microvasculature (r = -0.467; p <0.05). At the same time the index of ristomycin- inducted platelet aggregation as reflection of the changed endothelial function and a marker of the thrombogenic risk was also the highest in case of the comorbid course of essential hypertension (p <0.001); besides, its positive correlation relationship with the index of the total changes of microhemocirculation and microvasculature (r = +0.465; p <0.05) was established

An analysis of the angular distribution of the decay Λb0_{b}^{0}  → Λμ+^{+}μ^{−} is presented, using data collected with the LHCb detector between 2011 and 2016 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of approximately 5 fb1^{−1}. Angular observables are determined using a moment analysis of the angular distribution at low hadronic recoil, corresponding to the dimuon invariant mass squared range 15 < q2^{2} < 20 GeV2^{2}/c4^{4}. The full basis of observables is measured for the first time. The lepton-side, hadron-side and combined forward-backward asymmetries of the decay are determined to be \begin{array}{l}{A}_{\mathrm{FB}}^{\ell }=-0.39\pm 0.04\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.01\left(\mathrm{syst}\right),\hfill \\ {}{A}_{\mathrm{FB}}^h=-0.30\pm 0.05\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.02\left(\mathrm{syst}\right),\hfill \\ {}{A}_{\mathrm{FB}}^{\ell h}=+0.25\pm 0.04\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.01\left(\mathrm{syst}\right).\hfill \end{array} An analysis of the angular distribution of the decay Λb0Λμ+μ\Lambda_b^0 \rightarrow \Lambda \mu^{+} \mu^{-} is presented, using data collected with the LHCb detector between 2011 and 2016 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of approximately 5fb15\,fb^{-1}. Angular observables are determined using a moment analysis of the angular distribution at low hadronic recoil, corresponding to the dimuon invariant mass squared range 15<q2<20GeV2/c415 < q^{2} < 20\, GeV^2/c^4. The full basis of observables is measured for the first time. The lepton-side, hadron-side and combined forward-backward asymmetries of the decay are determined to be \begin{align} A_{FB}^{l} & = -0.39 \pm 0.04\,\rm{stat} \pm 0.01\, \rm{syst}, \nonumber\\ A_{FB}^{h} & = -0.30 \pm 0.05\,\rm{stat} \pm 0.02\, \rm{syst}, \nonumber\\ A_{FB}^{lh} & = +0.25 \pm 0.04\,\rm{stat} \pm 0.01\, \rm{syst}. \nonumber \end{align} The measurements are consistent with Standard Model predictions

    A time-dependent analysis of the B 0 s → ϕ γ decay rate is performed to determine the C P -violating observables S ϕ γ and C ϕ γ and the mixing-induced observable A Δ ϕ γ . The measurement is based on a sample of p p collision data recorded with the LHCb detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3     fb − 1 at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The measured values are S ϕ γ = 0.43 ± 0.30 ± 0.11 , C ϕ γ = 0.11 ± 0.29 ± 0.11 , and A Δ ϕ γ = − 0.67 + 0.37 − 0.41 ± 0.17 , where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. This is the first measurement of the observables S and C in radiative B 0 s decays. The results are consistent with the standard model predictions

A search for charge-parity (CP) violation in D-0 -> K-K+ and D-0 -> pi(-)pi(+) decays is reported, using pp collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.9 fb(-1) collected at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the LHCb detector. The flavor of the charm meson is inferred from the charge of the pion in D* (2010)(+) -> D-0 pi(+) decays or from the charge of the muon in (B) over bar -> D-0 mu(-)(nu) over bar X-mu decays. The difference between the CP asymmetries in D-0 -> K-K+ and D-0 -> pi(-)pi(+) decays is measured to be Delta A(CP) = [-18.2 +/- 3.2(stat) +/- 0.9(syst)] x 10(-4) for pi-tagged and Delta A(CP) = [-9 +/- 8(stat) +/- 5(syst)] x 10(-4) for mu-tagged D-0 mesons. Combining these with previous LHCb results leads to Delta A(CP) = (-15.4 +/- 2.9) x 10(-4), where the uncertainty includes both statistical and systematic contributions. The measured value differs from zero by more than 5 standard deviations. This is the first observation of CP violation in the decay of charm hadrons

The ratio of the Bs0 and B+ fragmentation fractions fs and fu is studied with Bs0→J/ψφ and B+→J/ψK+ decays using data collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at 7, 8, and 13 TeV center-of-mass energies. The analysis is performed in bins of B-meson momentum, longitudinal momentum, transverse momentum, pseudorapidity, and rapidity. The fragmentation-fraction ratio fs/fu is observed to depend on the B-meson transverse momentum with a significance of 6.0σ. This dependency is driven by the 13 TeV sample (8.7σ), while the results for the other collision energies are not significant when considered separately. Furthermore, the results show a 4.8σ evidence for an increase of fs/fu as a function of collision energy
